Reds Rout Virginia Beach City on Memorial Day Weekend

Norris and O'Neill, both prominent players in the match, controlled the midfield and continued to create scoring opportunities for their team.

Scoring continued as forward Leo Torres layed it off to Holden Woodings who tapped it in during the thirty-third minute; shortly followed by another goal from Woodings and assist from Torres.

Alexandria led 4-0 at the half as Goalkeeper Drew Hartman and the back line shut down VB City’s offense.

Defender Ethan Stuart had a brilliant finish towards the near post, adding another assist from Woodings as he made a productive NPSL debut. Norris scored his second goal in the forty-seventh minute off of a pass from Torres.

After several shots on goal, VBC’s Zach Golden, managed to score off of a free kick, just barely hitting it past Hartman. Midfielder Max Ded Bodene answered, sending the Reds final goal of the match into the net, after a cross from Sheriff Secka in the 64th minute.

With the second half of the match becoming more physical, Secka received a red card, putting Alexandria down a player for duration.

With the win, the Reds extend their record to 2-1-0 and sit tied for second in the standings. They will take the field again Wednesday, June 5th, at Limerick field.
