Men’s Futsal
The national, professional, semi-professional, amateur and youth futsal landscapes in the United States have exploded over the last decade and continue to evolve into a structured, pathway oriented system. ASA launched the Men’s Futsal Pro program in 2019 to join the movement and provide a pathway for our youth participants.
The program offers high level training, in a positive and engaging environment. The team competes in regional and national matches, leagues, tournaments and events.

James Walsh
Men’s GM
James joins ASA this season and is looking forward to getting to know the team and upholding ASA's high standard of training and competition.
James kicked off his futsal career when he was introduced to the sport in college. He played in local Latino leagues across the Salt Lake City area and found himself transitioning from a soccer striker/winger into a solid and reliable futsal goalkeeper. After a year of playing, he joined his first professional club in Utah, Alianza FC. Since moving to the DMV he's been involved in several other futsal clubs, including the Baltimore Kings, Washington Fire, and Virginia Sudakos.

Hugo Lopez
Co Head Coach
Hugo joins the team with several years of futsal and soccer coaching experience. He works full time at ASA as an Operations Assistant and Academy lead coach. He coaches one Academy soccer team and two Academy futsal teams in addition to Reds. He supports Junior Academy, Access4All, Rec League and Camps.

Martin Ozores
Co Head Coach
Martin joins the Reds after several years coaching at ASA and working in the soccer industry. He join the ASA team full time in 2025 as the Grassroots Program Assistant Manager. He works closely with school partners, teachers and administrators across the city when he’s not actively coaching or watching soccer and futsal!
